New Account and I Can't See Anyone on the app?

If you just created a new Ark account, and you can't see anyone to swipe on, then there is probably an issue with your location settings on your phone. The Ark app requires your location to determine who you can see within the app. If Ark is not allowed to use your location, then you will not see anyone, and they will not see you! Please make sure that your location is turned on, and then allow "Ark" to use your location while using the app. You may need to restart your phone as well to ensure Ark will use your location.

How to Enable Location Services on iPhone for Ark:

1. Open your iPhone's Settings app.
2. Tap Privacy & Security > Location Services.
3. Ensure Location Services is turned on.
4. Scroll down and find Ark in the list.
5. Tap Ark and select the following:
   • "While Using the App" – Allows location access only when Ark is open.

6. Restart your iPhone, then open Ark.

How to Enable Location Services on Android for Ark:

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and touch and hold Location.
   • If you don’t see Location, tap Edit or Settings, then drag Location into Quick Settings.

2. Tap App location permissions.

   

3. Find Ark under one of these categories:
   • "Allowed all the time"
   • "Allowed only while in use"
   • "Not allowed"
4. Tap Ark and choose one of the following:
   • "Allowed only while in use" – Location is accessed only when Ark is open.
   • "Allowed all the time" – Location is accessed even when Ark is in the background.
5. Restart your phone, then open Ark.
