Commandment #2: Upload Good Photos

Uploading great photos is one of the best ways to make a strong first impression and increase your chances of getting matches on Ark. Your photos should represent who you truly are while ensuring a safe and respectful experience for everyone in the community. To keep Ark a fun and welcoming place, we have a few simple guidelines to follow when selecting your pictures.

Photo Guidelines - What’s Not Allowed:

  • Using someone else’s photos or pretending to be someone else. Your profile should reflect the real you.
  • Obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, or suggestive content. We want to keep Ark a comfortable space for all users.
  • Shirtless or underwear mirror selfies. While confidence is great, these types of photos aren’t permitted. However, shirtless photos or those in swimwear are allowed in certain contexts, such as practicing outdoor sports, at the beach, or by the pool.
  • Photos of unaccompanied children. For safety reasons, kids should not appear alone in any profile pictures.

By following these guidelines, you help create a trustworthy and enjoyable environment for everyone. If a photo violates our policies, it may be removed, and repeated violations could result in account restrictions.

To keep Ark a more personal and engaging space, profiles should feature real photos of users. Accounts with only landscapes or objects may be suspended. If you’d prefer not to display your photos, you can always pause your account instead!

If you believe your photo was removed by mistake or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team at support@arkdating.app. Happy matching!
