What is Speed Dating?

The Ark team has been working very hard to create a new way for our community to interact with each other besides swiping up and down on people. This new feature, "Speed Dating," allows you to chat with people to explore connections even before matching! You can find the speed dating option by tapping the icon with a heart and clock on the bottom right. During speed dating, each chat will last for 5 minutes, after which you can decide if there's a match.

How it Works

Scheduled Sessions: Speed dating will be available at specific times. (Happening for the first time on February 2nd. stay tuned for upcoming events)
Browsing Profiles: View and request to chat with online users.
Timed Chats: 5-minute conversations to explore chemistry.
Matching: Continue chatting to match or decline and move on.
Exclusive Premium Access: Ark First Class users have unlimited access.
Session Duration: Each session lasts at least one hour.

Detailed Process

During a session, you can review the profiles of those who are online and have joined speed dating as well. While browsing, if you see someone you want to talk to, you can send them a request. The person will then receive a notification regarding your request, and they can choose to accept or decline. If they accept, you will both join a 5-minute timed chat to get to know each other. This is where you can see if there's chemistry or a spark! Once the 5-minute timer is up, you have the option to continue talking, which will turn them into a match. If not, you can politely decline and keep on speed dating!
